These two turn up in the same searches because the question behind them is usually phrased as energy, and that word covers two entirely different systems.

NAD+ is not a peptide and does not signal. It is a coenzyme present in every living cell, a cofactor for sirtuin and PARP enzymes and a carrier in redox reactions — bioenergetics in the literal sense. The research premise is that the availability of the cofactor constrains what the cell can do, and that its supply declines. Whatever is being studied happens inside the cell, without an endocrine step.

Ipamorelin does nothing inside that system. It is a pentapeptide agonist at the ghrelin receptor, selected for growth-hormone release with comparatively little movement in cortisol and prolactin, and its published work is endocrine throughout: a signal to a gland, and whatever the axis does with it.

So the decision is cellular metabolism or the growth-hormone axis. A protocol aimed at one tells you nothing about the other, and neither is a weaker version of it.
