Both are filed under skin. One is studied for structure, the other for pigment.
GHK-Cu is a copper-binding tripeptide — glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine complexed with copper(II) — present naturally in human plasma and studied in dermal models for its relationship to extracellular matrix proteins, collagen synthesis and wound repair. That literature is largely in-vitro and topical, and the copper is not incidental: the complex is the studied entity, not the peptide on its own.
Melanotan I is an analogue of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone. It binds melanocortin receptors, MC1R among them, and the research around it concerns melanogenesis. Structurally and mechanistically it shares nothing with GHK-Cu beyond the shelf they are filed on.
So this is genuinely two questions rather than two answers — dermal matrix and repair on one side, melanocortin signalling on the other. Nobody substitutes one for the other, and the table above is here to price and stock them, not to rank them.
One thing that table shows by omission: the purity column is empty for GHK-Cu, because the catalogue does not publish a release specification for it the way it does for Melanotan I. We would rather show the gap than fill it with a number nobody documented.
